Post-Final Update
This is the last and final update for Typy Battle System. It's been quite a long ride. I started working on this back in October 2020 and it's almost going to even be a year old. I'm not sure why I actually started working on this. I had zero game development experience (Still do) yet I wanted to experiment with some mechanics I liked in a few games I had played previously.
Honestly programming this was fun and exciting, I had never worked on a project which became at such a large scale, well, at least for me despite my struggles with fixing bugs and lack of programming experience. This project never blew up in popularity, and never will, which really wasn't even the point since this was just an experiment but it will always be one of the best early projects I had ever made.
Talking about the project, I feel like it's an interesting and creative gameplay mechanic, however, it does seem a bit gimmicky. Many people who tried out the game told me that they get lost and confused about what they have to do and some even told me that the learning curve is quite steep, which I agree, it takes a while to get a hang of things. Game balancing is barely any good, I wasn't sure how to do it. I did zero optimization since I had no idea how to do it in Scratch and the code is very long and inefficient. But hey, there's always time to learn, which is what I'm going to focus on for now. It will probably be a long time until I actually get myself to work on another project but till then, I'll focus on learning and improving my existing skills.
Regarding the future of this project, this will stay up for as long as itch.io is. It will no longer be updated, I might still reply back to your issues and concerns, however since I don't work on this anymore, they won't be addressed as patches.
I would like to thank everyone, including my lovely viewers for trying out the little game I made. I thank you from the deepest depths of my heart.
Regarding the changes, don't worry much about it. I've removed some features and added new ones. They don't need to be logged. You probably won't even notice them, haha.
